It's optional, a post-game dungeon but still awful. Floor 7 has got to be the worst teleporter maze I've ever seen ( seriously, look at this map) while Floor 10 to 12 has a long multiple floor spanning puzzle that is hard to wrap your head around on a blind playthrough, and still requires one, long trip (seriously, the puzzle is designed so that it HAS to be done in one sitting) even if you DO know what you're doing.Įasily Wandering Dungeon in Star Ocean 4. The whole game is more DRPG than JRPG with preset characters and one mega dungeon, and boy are some of those floors just absolutely awful. ![]() But it's still not great when your dungeon experience is "tediously going back to Floor 1 over and over after each floor"Īlso, I have to give a shout out to Labyrinth of Touhou. It could be a lot worse the game thankfully has a save + heal point on floor 1. ![]() I can't put all the blame on the mechanics though the 9 floor layout of this dungeon is overkill compared to every other dungeon in the game. I don't want to get into how bad the dungeon is, but it's bad mainly because of Okage's terrible gameplay systems (like the map, which is useless for anything designed like a maze, and the encounter system, which makes enemy encounters too frequent and requires you to waste MP just to escape from them). ![]() The second dungeon is the Deep Grave Pit from Okage: Shadow King.
